Position: New Logo Account Executive
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Win new business and drive revenue for Mastech Digital within the top retail and CPG companies, including global retailers, grocery chains, consumer goods manufacturers, and e-commerce platforms. Navigate complex organizations to engage decision-makers, educate them about our solutions, and help them achieve measurable business impact. You will own the full sales cycle, from initial outreach to contract close.
• Design and execute innovative sales strategies tailored to retail and CPG planning, merchandising, and data initiatives to meet and exceed revenue targets. Analyze market trends, consumer behavior insights, and supply chain dynamics to translate high-level objectives into targeted sales campaigns.
• Navigate complex stakeholder ecosystems, including merchandising, supply chain, marketing, e-commerce, IT, and analytics teams to build consensus and influence decision making.
• Collaborate with strategic partners to drive new business opportunities, aligning Mastech Digital’s services with partner solutions for the retail and CPG vertical.
• Continuously refine the retail & CPG sales methodology by incorporating learnings into playbooks, templates, and best practices. Identify process improvements to optimize sales productivity and consistency. Required Experience:
• 10+ years selling enterprise data management consulting services or software solutions into retail, CPG, or consumer goods companies.
• Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles within large retail/CPG organizations and secure strategic deals by understanding both technical requirements and business outcomes.
• Demonstrated experience navigating organizational structures and procurement processes, building consensus among executives, category managers, marketing, supply chain, and IT departments.
• Extensive experience negotiating complex agreements and navigating retail/CPG vendor policies and procurement frameworks.
• Track record of consistently exceeding revenue targets by effectively managing evolving pipelines and collaborating with partners, presales, and marketing teams.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present confidently to diverse audiences, from analysts and operations leaders to senior executives.
• Deep understanding of retail & CPG buying cycles, merchandising priorities, supply chain challenges, and consumer insights initiatives.
• Strategic and analytical approach to assessing the retail/CPG market, combined with tactical execution to capture opportunities.
• Passion for and/or experience with data management and AI solutions, including data governance, master data management, cloud data warehouses, data catalogs, AI-driven analytics, personalization engines, and their applications in retail and CPG.
